OVERVIEW
Ideal for medium-sized videoconferencing meetings, Aethra®’s Vega® Star is an easily portable, professional set-top system. It runs over ISDN or IP networks conforming to H.320 and H.323 standards and offers optional leased line support. The integrated Multipoint Conferencing Unit (MCU) provides multiple audio and video connections with Continuous Presence in mixed mode (ISDN and IP), allowing up to 3 participants at 512 kbps or 5 participants at 128 kbps to view one another simultaneously.

MULTIPLE NETWORK CONNECTIVITY

Supports ISDN and IP-based (H.323) communications standards, as well as optional leased or satellite connections. WiFi (IEEE 802.11b) Card can be added to the PCMCIA slot for a wireless LAN connection.

MULTIPOINT CONFERENCING

The built-in MCU can connect up to 5 sites with dial-out and dial-in (Meet Me) configuration, in mixed mode with Continuous Presence.

EASY TO UPGRADE

Flexible, simple architecture enables easy re-configuration of the system. Ready to upgrade simply by adding different cards. Change the channel aggregator card and upgrade in one easy step!

PATENTED VOICE TRACKING

The camera, with Aethra’s patented Voice Tracking feature, enables more natural communication by automatically focusing on the active speaker.

EASY TO INSTALL AND USE

With the intuitive graphical user interface, installation is simple. On-screen contextual help, address book dialing, and web-based maintenance and support mean the system is accessible for even the most novice user.
