Telenext convergence was established
in 2001 in the Business Incubator
of KReSIT (Kanwal Rekhi School of
Information technology), Indian Institute
of Bombay, by a set of lit Alumni
and is headed by Prof. SSSP Rao. Telenext
has developed various technological
concepts and models in security and
display technologies. Given the Indian
Government's Conditional Access Act
passed on both the houses Telenext
now intends to develop a Service delivery
platform which can take care of the
mandatory requirement as well as provide
additional benefits to the consumer.
History
of the Business
Telenext Labs have access to highly
sophisticated design and development
facilities of IIT Bombay and KReSIT
Business incubator. IIT Bombay also
produces some of the finest brainpower
in the country. Telenext has a dedicated
team working on different aspects
of hardware and software product design.
Telenext also have strategic tie-up
with a hardware design to implement
some of the Telenext Designs.
Telenext senior management team has
expertise in VLSI/ASIC design, Large
scale web back ends, software and
hardware design, strategy and Marketing.
The
Company has announced the launch of
the nation's first indigenously designed
and manufactured digital set top boxes.
The set-top-box is developed for the
enabling Conditional Access in Cable
television networks. Telenext also
has developed a highly advanced video
encryption technology called "lndcrypt",
for end to end digital media delivery.
